What's in Boston?
Looking for something to do over the weekend?
-
Tours
- Boston Duck Tours: A popular, narrated, tour of the city (and its waterways).
- Freedom Trail: A self-guided walking tour of Boston's revolutionary landmarks -- just follow the red-brick path. You might even run into Benjamin Franklin along the way.
-
Entertainment
- Boston Common: Take a walk through one of the oldest public parks in the country.
- Visit a museum: Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum (our personal favorite!), Museum of Science, Museum of Fine Arts, JFK Library, Institute of Contemporary Art and Boston Public Library
- New England Aquarium: Have some fun with the fishes.
-
Food
- North End: If you're looking for good italian, check out Boston's North End. It's a relatively short walk from the Quincy Market area and its streets are packed with great restaurants.
-
Nightlife
- There are a number of fun bars in the Quincy Market/Fanuel Hall area, often packed with people and many with live music. Green Dragon Tavern (where the Sons of Liberty plotted the American Revolution) and Hennessey's, just to name a couple.
- Looking for some true Boston personality? Grab a beer around Fenway Park during a Sox game. Try Boston Beer Works or the Cask n' Flagon. Just make sure you're rooting for the right team.
